There are some disgusting pictures out there with Hulk Hogan's hands all over his grown, adult daughter's bare butt. Umm, not necessary. I don't care if he or she thinks it's cute or funny or helpful. There are places a daughter just doesn't *go* when she comes of age, and letting ole dad play "grab-ass" is one of those places. It doesn't really matter what his intentions were, that's just not right.
The Miley Cyrus pictures don't bother me so much. I'm not offended that this "role model for young children" would do such a thing. I have been teaching my daughter from day one that pop-culture tv, books and magazines aren't *real* and not to take influence from them. I'm not the perfect parent, but I do believe that this is part of my JOB. Not to depend on pop culture for my childrens' mores and values. We should be teaching our children the difference between right and wrong, good and bad decisions, and how to *make* those good decisions. Not "shame on Billy Ray", but shame on YOU for thinking he should censor what his daughter does for YOUR sake. Not many ten year olds I know read Vanity Fair, anyway.
I'm wandering. It's hard to keep my thoughts together and stay on task today. Little G was up at three, and wanted to play. The birds weren't even chirping at three! GO TO SLEEP LITTLE PERSON!! Hopefully, there will be more sleep tonight.

Not a topical day.
Random musings:
People are allowed to have differing opinions. It doesn't make either one of those people uneducated, ignorant or just plain stupid. As a citizen of this great land, I am "allowed" to like or dislike as I see fit, and it doesn't make me LESS of a citizen than you are.
Speaking in a progressively louder voice will not make me "come around" to your way of thinking. Neither will verbally "running over" me in conversation. It will actually just probably piss me off. AND not want to talk to you anymore.
Once again, I must insist that education does NOT equal intelligence. Just because you're university degreed and I'm not, doesn't mean you're smarter than me or your opinion means more than mine does.
I do not let my children harass, annoy or inconvenience other people. They are firmly in my control at all times, unless I am paying someone else to watch them. Then, they are firmly in the control of the person that I am paying. They are still not harassing or annoying anyone else. I will remove them from the situation if the occasion warrants. Therefore, if you don't HAVE children and don't ever WANT to have children, and I haven't ASKED you for your advice, you have no damn right to tell me how to raise mine. Mind. Your. Own. Damn. Business.
I'd also like to ask the question - WTF??!! How does a man keep his daughter locked in the basement for 24 years, have SEVEN children with her, and keep his wife out of it?? Sick-ass pervert. And for some reason, it's ok in Austria to release the names of victims and children to the general public. Almost makes me glad to be a sexually repressed American.
